A 1969 Jensen FF went under the hammer — and as barn finds go, this was a fascinating one.
Owned by the same family from new and parked up in 1997, it was offered as a full restoration project at the Iconic Auctioneers sale at Race Retro in 2026.
Watch how the bidding played out below:
On paper, it had everything. Rarity, history, and that all-important “barn find” status — but cars like this are never easy to price.
A tricky one to judge
Guided at £30,000–£35,000, expectations were reasonably strong going in.
But when it comes to something as rare as a Jensen FF, the usual rules don’t always apply. It only takes one or two bidders to set the tone — and without that depth of competition, results can vary.
Why the Jensen FF is so unusual
The FF isn’t just rare — it’s technically interesting too.
One of the first production cars to feature four-wheel drive and anti-lock braking, it sits in a very different space to most classics of the era.
That uniqueness makes it appealing… but also harder to value.
