Win A Talbot Sunbeam Lotus – The Way Things Were…

Do you remember when companies like Halfords used to run competitions like this?

First prize was a Talbot Sunbeam Lotus. Imagine that now!

Second prize wasn’t too bad, either….FOUR lucky winners could win a Talbot Sunbeam TI.

Oh, and the cars would be taxed for a year.

Even third prize was incredible; 100 people won a Harry Moss Audioline Radio Cassette Player and twin speakers.

I don’t know when competitions like this stopped being ‘a thing’, but the stampede it would cause nowadays would be incredible.

Sadly, this competition ended in 1981. Did you win?

Come on, Halfords, pull you finger out and give us a chance to win a proper car again…
