Hagerty’s world renowned Festival of the Unexceptional celebrates its 10-year anniversary at Grimsthorpe Castle, Lincolnshire on Saturday 27th July.
Festival of the Unexceptional, a show dedicated to great everyday classic cars, was launched by Hagerty in 2014 and has since earned its place as a must-attend event in the automotive calendar. Showcasing much maligned and long-forgotten ‘ordinary’ classic cars of the 70s, 80s and 90s, Festival of the Unexceptional remains the only event to celebrate the everyday cars we all know and love, placing them into a traditional classic car concours setting.
Since its launch, FOTU has grown from a small gathering of cars and their enthusiastic owners to an event where thousands of guests and cars gather, many travelling from all over the world. To celebrate 10-years of success, the 2024 event will offer an amazing array of attractions, special guests, amazing cars, and plenty of anniversary celebrations soon to be announced.
Tickets for the 2024 Hagerty Festival of the Unexceptional are on sale now, priced at just £35 per car. Guests are reminded that all passengers within the car enter under a single ticket.
When booking, guests are encouraged to check the additional options available to purchase to get the most from the 10th Anniversary Festival of the Unexceptional. These options include an opportunity to pre-order exclusive 10th anniversary merchandise, which will be dispatched in time for guests to wear at the event.
Also new for 2024 is an earlier opening time. Owners of Unexceptional and Classic vehicles can now enter from 7:30am, allowing more time to enjoy the event. Music, entertainment, and catering will also continue into the early evening to allow guests a more leisurely departure after the prize giving ceremony.
Mark Roper, Managing Director of Hagerty International, said “Ten years of Festival of the Unexceptional is a moment to be celebrated. Since Hagerty launched the event in 2014 it has grown year on year to become a highlight of the automotive calendar.
But FOTU is now much more than an event, it is a cultural movement that presents a new way to enjoy classic cars, and that is something Hagerty continually strives create as part of its commitment to the classic car industry.”
Owners of Unexceptional cars can now apply to be a part of the 10th Anniversary Festival of the Unexceptional Concours De L’ordinare event, held on the main lawn of Grimsthorpe Castle. Nominated cars will be judged for their eligibility by the experts at Hagerty, with 50 cars being chosen to form the main Concours event.
