There’s always a huge amount of anticipation around Goodwood Revival, but the 2026 event is shaping up to be something particularly special.
Goodwood has revealed an extraordinary line-up of racing drivers and motorcycle legends for this year’s Revival, which takes place from Friday 18th to Sunday 20th September at the famous West Sussex circuit.
And it really is a proper who’s who of motorsport.
Formula 1 Champions Heading To Revival
Among the biggest names confirmed so far are Formula 1 World Champions Jenson Button and Jacques Villeneuve, alongside Sir Jackie Stewart, Jean Alesi, John Watson, Karun Chandhok and Max Chilton.
Goodwood Revival has always had the knack of bringing together generations of motorsport heroes in one place, but this year’s line-up feels especially strong.
Touring Car, Le Mans And IndyCar Heroes
Touring car fans are well catered for too, with BTCC legends including Gordon Shedden, Matt Neal, Rob Huff, Colin Turkington, Anthony Reid, Steve Soper and current champion Tom Ingram all confirmed.
Meanwhile, endurance racing fans will spot some incredibly familiar names across the paddock.
Nine-time Le Mans winner Tom Kristensen returns alongside André Lotterer, David Brabham, Justin Bell, Darren Turner, Marino Franchitti, Romain Dumas and many more.
There’s also serious American racing pedigree coming to Goodwood this September, with IndyCar stars Dario Franchitti, Scott Dixon and Tony Kanaan all joining the event, while seven-time NASCAR Cup champion Jimmie Johnson adds even more star power.
Tribute To Motorsport Icons
One of the highlights of the 2026 Revival will undoubtedly be the tribute to Barry Sheene, with Freddie Sheene attending as Goodwood celebrates the life and career of the British motorcycling legend.
Goodwood has also confirmed that the iconic Ford GT Mk II trio which secured Ford’s famous 1-2-3 finish at Le Mans in 1966 will reunite at Revival this year.
Moments like that are exactly why the event remains one of the standout dates on the motoring calendar.
More Than Just Historic Racing
Goodwood Revival has become far more than a race meeting.
Yes, the on-track action is spectacular, but the atmosphere is what really makes it different. Period clothing, historic aircraft, vintage shopping, live music and some of the most valuable racing machinery in the world all combine to create something genuinely unique.
Even if you’re not usually a motorsport person, Revival has a way of pulling you in.
When Is Goodwood Revival 2026?
Goodwood Revival takes place from Friday 18th to Sunday 20th September 2026 at the Goodwood Motor Circuit in West Sussex.
