Fast Fords always seem to sell well and this Sierra RS Cosworth was no exception!
At a time when some people are saying that classic car prices are struggling, Anglia Car Auctions have, yet again, blown that sort of talk right out of the water! This 1986 Ford Sierra RS Cosworth has just been sold for over £50,000.
We did feature a short video of this car on the UK Barn Finds YouTube channel prior to the sale and some of the people commenting actually got quite close with their own estimates. There really are some genuine internet experts out there. As for the ones who said “scrap it” and other such nonsense, well….
The final price achieved, with fees, was £50,760.
This car had previously been off the road for a number of years and was sympathetically recommissioned by the vendor. We absolutely loved the fact that it looked battle-scarred, but would not be surprised if it was looking a bit ‘prettier’ next time it hits the road.
There was talk that this Ford Sierra RS Cosworth may have been a Ford press car. The numberplate had the right credentials….what do you think?
So, next time somebody tells you old Ford prices are dropping, please point them to the Anglia Car Auctions website, where they’ll find all the latest results and cars coming up for sale.
And, of course, if you have an old barn find car that you’d like to feature on UK Barn Finds and maybe even sell, do please contact us.
