If you fancy a compact 4×4 that will go pretty much anywhere, and don’t mind getting stuck into a project, this Fiat Panda may be the car for you.
From the seller: “Was first registered in the UK in February 1988, and bought by myself some 14 years ago. Since then I moved to the Channel Islands (Guernsey) where it’s currently registered.
It was pretty much in daily use until a few years ago. My intention was to have it completely restored, but due to various reasons that never happened.
There’s some bad rust around the wings and doors, and even inside the car where water leaked in through a window. There’s very little rot underneath though, as it was waxoiled heavily at some point.
The engine did start, but I went to start it a few days ago, and the starter motor doesn’t turn even though it’s got a new fully charged battery fitted.
I’m prepared to virtually give it away to someone who has the energy and enthusiasm to bring it back to its former glory. Parts for these are still easy (and cheap) to find on eBay Italy where Pandas are still plentiful on the backstreets, autostradas and mountain ranges.”
