Chevrolet Camaro Z28 – LNF 489V – Street Machine Magazine

There ain’t no replacement for displacement…and this Camaro Z28 certainly had some cc!

We’re a fan of a big block engine and this 427 cu in V8 Chevrolet Camaro (that’s SEVEN litres to us Brits!) must have sounded awesome, especially with the work that had been done to it. Street Machine featured the car in March of 1988, but what happened to LNF 489V after that?

There’s no way, surely, that a car of this level of awesome ended up at the scrapyard, so it must be tucked away somewhere, awaiting a restoration that will let it relive its days of glory. Please tell us we’re right.

If this is the case, what state is she in? The DVLA website, as you can see from this VehicleSmart screenshot, says it hasn’t been taxed since 1993. That’s a long time…

Did you own this car, or see it at shows or burbling down the High Street somewhere? Please get in touch.

Please drop us a line on [email protected] if you have any information about this car and we’ll update this page.
