Barn Find 1979 Ford Escort RS2000 Custom For Sale

Looking for a winter project? This has to be the one, surely?!!

This 1979 Ford Escort RS2000 Custom has been languishing off the road for many years, according to the seller, and has the added bonus of being a runner! Thankfully, the cambelt was changed before this was checked. Phew!

It’s always hard to tell from a few photos and, to be honest, you’re going to want to ask a few questions and probably view the car before shelling out for it, but this does look like a good one and the perfect candidate for a quick restoration in preparation to hit the road next year.

And even if a global pandemic kills the 2021 show scene like it did this year, what better car to nip down the shops in to get those essentials?

The Escort RS2000 Custom is always a cool looking car, but black is also our favourite colour for this model, too. How much do you reckon it will be worth next Spring, with a thorough going over and some fresh paint? A car like this may well end up in the hands of an investor.

Take a look at the eBay listing, check your bank balance and give it some thought. Somebody is going to own this car soon. Will it be you?
