1978 Ford Capri 1600 – Barn Find

This one looks like a Ford Capri for the brave! The seller has been very honest about it…you won’t be driving it home!

From the seller: “Do you like the Ford Capri? Do you like spiders? Do you like a challenge?? If the answer is ‘yes’ to any of these then this barn-find Capri may be the project for you…

You are bidding on a 1978 Ford Capri that belonged to my late father and we are now selling off along with other vehicles as we clear the property.

The car has been in the barn since 2001 – the front grille and lights are all unbolted as I think that my father had intended dealing with the rust at some point. Unfortunately the front of the car has still got all the weather and cannot disguise the fact that it’s got rust throughout – please see the pictures for the horror of that. As the car goes further back into the barn it gets a bit better. All 4 tyres are gone so I haven’t been able to see the underside but I’m not assuming great things under there – engine is the mighty (?) 1.6 unit. “
