From the seller: “1935 MK1 AUSTIN SEVEN RUBY BODYSHELL WITH ITS ORIGINAL MODERN V5 SITTING ON A REPLICA BOX CHANNEL CHASSIS (WHICH WAS ONCE USED IN A 2 SEATER COMPETITION CAR) NOT BEEN ON THE ROAD FOR OVER 40 YEARS. NO ENGINE OR GEARBOX.
I HAVE A RESTORED 1935 CHASSIS FROM ANOTHER AUSTIN SEVEN AVAILABLE BY SEPARATE NEGOTIATION, NOT INCLUDED IN THIS SALE. MAY PUT IT ON EBAY AFTER (IF!) THIS IS SOLD
THE FRONT AXLE IS SEMI GIRLING, REAR AXLE IS A VERY GOOD ITEM FROM A RUNNING CAR. WHEELS ARE IN GOOD ORDER.
THIS IS A PROJECT VEHICLE CRUDELY ASSEMBLED TO DETERMINE ENGINE LOCATION AND BODY FITMENT. THE BODY NEEDS WORK TO THE `B` POSTS, REAR ARCHES AND BEHIND THE FRONT WHEELS BUT IS FAIRLY GOOD, SEEN MUCH WORSE. THE FLOOR HAS BEEN CUT AWAY TO FIT A LARGER ENGINE AND GEARBOX (FROM A MORRIS MINOR). THE ORIGINAL AUSTIN SEVEN GEARBOX COVER IS INCLUDED AND THIS WOULD ACT AS A TEMPLATE FOR EASY FLOOR REPAIR. SPARE WHEEL WELL OK BUT EACH SIDE OF LOWER REAR BODY IS TATTY.
OVERALL A BODY WORTH SALVAGING. COMES WITH SALVAGABLE MUDGUARDS, 2 FRONT, 2 REAR AND 2 MORRIS SEATS. ALSO HAS ITS ORIGINAL FRONT AND REAR CHROME BUMPERS.”
