Here’s another of those cars you don’t see very often nowadays. This MK2 VW Scirocco needs some love, but could be a great car once again in the right hands.
From the seller: “Here we have a 1990 Scirocco Scala with only 90,000 miles on the clock. Bought with the intention of fully restoring but unfortunately have run out of time and room on this particular car. Time for someone to bring it back to her former glory.
This particular model has the 1.8 8v engine that you’d find in the Mk2 Golf GTi of the era, which is a nice bonus.
The car has been off the road for a number of years and would need to be trailered away and fully recommissioned.
Vehicle turns over but does not start, dodgy fuel pump. Was a great runner when I bought it and sounded great with its full stainless exhaust system. This vehicle has also had lowering suspension fitted, which makes for a lovely low stance – was a bit hard for me personally, I had the intention of going for the original ride height. Only thing I really managed to do on this project was refurbishing all the wheels.”
