Fuzz Townshend To Reveal Car SOS Secrets At Great Northern Classics

Fuzz Townshend Heading To Great Northern Classics For Special Car SOS Evening

Car SOS presenter and musician Fuzz Townshend is set to appear at Great Northern Classics on Thursday 25th June as part of the venue’s growing “Evenings With” series.

Hosted by fellow TV personality Paul Cowland, the event promises a behind-the-scenes look at the reality of filming one of Britain’s best-loved motoring television shows, with stories from the workshop floor, tight restoration deadlines and some of the emotional moments viewers never get to see on screen.

For anyone who has followed Car SOS over the years, this should be a fascinating evening. Fuzz has become one of the most recognisable faces in the classic car world thanks to the programme’s ambitious restorations and surprise reveals, often bringing long-forgotten classics back to life for deserving owners.

More Than Just Car SOS

While many know him from television, Fuzz Townshend’s career stretches well beyond the workshop. Before becoming a household name among car enthusiasts, he spent decades in the music industry playing drums with bands including Pop Will Eat Itself, Bentley Rhythm Ace, The Beat and The Wonder Stuff.

The evening is expected to cover both sides of his career, mixing television stories, restoration insight and music industry tales into what sounds like a genuinely entertaining night for enthusiasts.

Great Northern Classics Continues To Grow

Based in the Midlands, Great Northern Classics has rapidly built a reputation as one of the country’s most interesting automotive venues, combining classic car storage, specialist businesses, events and enthusiast culture under one roof.

The venue has become increasingly well known for hosting relaxed, enthusiast-focused evenings that bring together people from across the classic vehicle scene.

Events like this feel a natural fit for the venue, particularly with the continuing popularity of television restoration shows and the growing appetite for real-world stories behind classic cars and the people who save them.

Tickets And Event Details

Tickets are priced at £25 for the evening event or £35 including a hot meal.

Doors open at 5:30pm, food is served from 6pm and the live entertainment begins at 7pm, finishing at approximately 10pm.

With Fuzz Townshend remaining one of the most popular personalities in the classic car world, organisers expect tickets to sell quickly.

You can find full event details and ticket information directly through the Great Northern Classics website.

If you enjoy stories about restorations, forgotten classics and the reality behind automotive television, this one sounds well worth a look.
