Car SOS presenter and musician Fuzz Townshend is set to appear at Great Northern Classics on Thursday 25th June as part of the venue’s growing “Evenings With” series.
Hosted by fellow TV personality Paul Cowland, the event promises a behind-the-scenes look at the reality of filming one of Britain’s best-loved motoring television shows, with stories from the workshop floor, tight restoration deadlines and some of the emotional moments viewers never get to see on screen.
For anyone who has followed Car SOS over the years, this should be a fascinating evening. Fuzz has become one of the most recognisable faces in the classic car world thanks to the programme’s ambitious restorations and surprise reveals, often bringing long-forgotten classics back to life for deserving owners.
While many know him from television, Fuzz Townshend’s career stretches well beyond the workshop. Before becoming a household name among car enthusiasts, he spent decades in the music industry playing drums with bands including Pop Will Eat Itself, Bentley Rhythm Ace, The Beat and The Wonder Stuff.
The evening is expected to cover both sides of his career, mixing television stories, restoration insight and music industry tales into what sounds like a genuinely entertaining night for enthusiasts.
