Ford Escort RS2000 MK2 Custom

From the seller: “Ford Escort RS2000 MK2 Custom manufactured in Saarlouis W. Germany July 1979 and first registered in May 1980.

The car is finished in Signal yellow although was originally diamond white.

It has been in dry storage for the past 10 yrs.

An ideal project car, and a fantastic base for restoration.

It has the standard 1993cc pinto engine, hasn’t run since Sept 2015, both engine and gearbox will need a strip/overhaul.

The body shell is reasonably solid for a car 40+ yrs old, there is evidence of previous repair works to the floor panels.

The interior, front/rear Fishnet Recaro Seats have been recovered with period ‘aldridge’ beta cloth trim in black.

Five polished RS alloys with new 185/70 Yokohama tyres.

Original UK registered RS2000’s are becoming rare and are very desirable.”
