Restoring a classic car is never easy, is it? Our 1981 Ford Fiesta MK1 is no different!
Welcome back to our Ford Fiesta MK1 L. In this latest little UK Barn Finds fleet update, we show some of the progress that has already occurred with our little retro car. We also point out some of the hidden surprises we’ve uncovered and our plans for moving forward with this project.
Items we’ve tackled so far include the rear suspension (shock absorbers and coil springs). This had previously been modified and the parts were well past their prime, anyway.
We also make a start on the front suspension, ditching those lowered springs in favour of a standard set-up.
A simple oil change reveals that the car needs a bit more love than we originally anticipated. However, that’s nothing, compared to the horrors that lurk beneath.
We hope you enjoy this video. Please take a moment to check out the UK Barn Finds YouTube channel and, if you can, subscribe. Comments on the videos are welcome. We’re a small channel and we try to read every bit of feedback and will reply to a lot of comments.
All products, vehicles, tools and even the premises are paid for with our own money.
