Fresh out of long term storage, this 1968 MGB GT looks in remarkable condition and should be a great project for somebody.
From the seller: “1968 MGB GT
Wire Wheels
Leather Seats
Taxation Class – Historic Vehicle
V5 Present in my name
87090 miles
4 former keepers
Owned by be since 2003, has only done 65 miles since last MOT in August 2003, it was in good running order.
Due to lack of time ended up in the garage, minor jobs done over the years but never quite ending up back on the road
I’m the wrong side of 66 now, so its time for a new home ( The Car and Me)
The person I bought it off purchased it from Bygone Autos in Birkenhead in 2001 ( they don’t exist any more) and had it for 2 years.
It had been restored by a guy in New Brighton, I believe Bygone finished it off due to Bereavement.
The engine number on the Log Book was a concern as it doesn’t match the engine.
However an internet search suggests this is / was a GOLD Seal engine ( see pictures, BHM 1111 Prefix)
It has been started and taken out of the garage on occasions”
