Wow! How often do you see a ‘barn find’ 1949 Bentley 4.2 MKVI for sale on eBay? We’ll answer that; probably never!
This one popped up in our searches this morning during our regular crawl of the eBay classic car section and, rather than just post it straight to our Facebook page, we thought this one deserved a bit more attention and are sharing it on our website.
The seller states:
“It is very original and untouched she’s very solid indeed for a car of her age. There is a little bit of damage to the front of the passengers rear arch I have a picture. The bodywork could be left with the original patina look or would need full paint to bring back to former glory.
The interior is all complete including the plaque of who built the car. The leather and carpets will need replacing but however the headlining and dash looks great. She also has the original suitcase holders in boot.
Mechanically she’s starts runs drives and stops. I have a video of her running but will need a full service and going over before used as she has sat for nearly 10 years in a barn. Has been fitted with a brand new high torque starter motor still have the original one to go with the car too.”
There are more photos on the eBay listing. At the time of writing this, the video wasn’t on the listing itself. It may be awaiting approval, or it could be that the seller doesn’t realise you can upload a video to eBay these days. We’re sure, if you’re interested in buying this particular Bentley, you’ll contact them for a copy of it.
