From the seller: “1973 Volvo 164 barn find.
My Dad took the car off the road over 20 years ago to repair/replace the heating matrix, he took the dashboard out but never put it back again and that is how I found it 20+ years later in dry storage, completely original, some service history including an up to date V5 which I will transfer for the new owner.
Although on the surface the body work does not look that bad, there are patches of rust coming through. I have tried to show this in the photographs however, if you would like more photos then just let me know. The paint work is presentable but does have some scratches etc as you would expect for a survivor car of this age.
The engine turns freely by hand.
The interior is in fair condition, the headlining is good and not sagging, the leather has a couple of rips.
The car also includes a treasure trove of 164 panels and parts (he obviously stripped a car at some point) including:- spare wings, bonnet, loads of repeater and solenoids, side windows, petrol tank, back seats etc etc
The car does roll freely but will obviously will need to be trailered away. I’d love to restore the car myself but am currently restoring a Volvo Amazon and just don’t have the time, it’s too lovey a car to just sit on my drive rusting away.”
