From the seller: “1973 Volvo 164 barn find. Completely original, the car has been stood in a shed for the last 20 years, quite a time capsule.
Some service history including an up to date V5 which I will transfer for the new owner.
Although on the surface the body work does not look that bad, it is rotten underneath and will require extensive welding, I have tried to show this in the photographs however, if you would like more photos then just let me know. The paint work is presentable but does have some scratches etc as you would expect for a survivor car of this age.
The interior is in extremely good condition, the headlining is good and not sagging, the leather has no rips or marks (could use a good clean) but apart from that it is in exceptionally good condition, it even has the fitted rubber Volvo floor mats.
We have not tried to start it as the owner has decided not to spend any money on it but, I would not be surprised if with a new battery and fresh fuel that it starts up quite easily as these old Volvo engines are extremely reliable.”
