From the seller: “This is a 99p start no reserve auction for a 1971 Bond Bug. If you bid, you are bidding to buy at the price you bid at. You must collect and pay within 5 days of auction end, no exceptions, and you must be able to take it away (we cant deliver this and unless you are some sort of wizard you wont be able to drive this one home strangely enough).
1971 Bond Bug for spares or brave restoration.
Registration is DPK979J IT HAS NO V5 AND HAS DROPPED OFF DVLA DATABASE. VIN unknown, may be on a tag somewhere on the shell, but we have never found it. However, you should be able to re register it on the original registration number, the nice people at the bond bug owners club may be able to help you with this (no guarantees though).
This was found in a hedge some years ago, not sure how long it had been there but the chassis had rotted away completely and therefore is not present.
Our plan was to stick it on a Rialto chassis (with minor modifications – google it) and use it, but other toys have got in the way so this never happened, and it now needs to go due to storage going where its sat.
Comes with engine as seen (reliant), this was with the car when it was found, believe to be a rialto engine, have never seen or heard it run or even turn over, probably seized from sitting etc etc.”
