We love an Austin Allegro. Often maligned by people who’ve never been within 50-metres of one, they are a great little classic, offering economy, comfort and fairly straight forward maintenance. This one has a particularly interesting history and I can’t remember the last time I saw an automatic Allegro…
From the seller: “This is a genuine Barn find Little Allegro with some interesting history,
It started its life as a Police CID Car then went it to acting in a film with Kate Hardie and Douglas Hodge.
and then took to hiding in a barn for around the last 9 years.
It is a solid little car which with some fresh petrol a quick clean of the points and float chamber fired up and runs well the brake are a little sticky buy get better every time its moved so nothing a good clean wont fix the gear box go’s in and out of gear fine and changes as should.”
