1969 Mk1 Ford Escort 2-Door

What a great find and, the way classic Ford prices are right now, expect there to be some frantic bidding on this 2-door Escort!

From the seller: “1969 Mk1 2 Door Escort for restoration

Early model with the raised fuel neck, early pointed door handles and larger switches on dash. Ideal for a twin cam replica.

Been off the road for at least 30 years

Will need welding in a lot of the usual escort places such as floors, rear wheel archs and lower outer corners. The inner wings aren’t too bad with only local rust blisters to the strut tops. Bulkhead looks good, scuttle panel good. Roof straight. Importantly the chassis rails looks sound.

Engine turns and I had it running with a battery and fuel down it but take it as it will need a Complete mechanical overhaul.

Interior obviously needs restoring but it seems basically complete although the key has been misplaced.”
