1969 Dodge Charger 440

People of a certain age will associate the Dodge Charger with one thing and one thing only; The Dukes Of Hazzard!

This specific Charger has been in the UK a long time but, like many projects, has been on the back-burner for quite a while. Hopefully, the purchaser will have the time and funds to get it roaring once again.

From the seller: “1969 Dodge Charger it has been in the UK since 1990 with lots of history. I bought this to restore a few years ago but things change and I am not going to get round to doing it. The frame, sills and everything on the underside is rock solid and the bodywork is also very good with just a few isolated repairs needed. The floors have a couple of little holes mainly on the drivers side but these once again will be A very easy repair and don’t need replacing, boot floor is also in good condition. In my opinion no body panels will need to be changed ( depending how far you want to go ) except for the front wing and front end parts as these parts where taken off by the previous owner who tuck the charger off the road to restore. For what ever reason he told me that they went missing while the car was in storage as did most of the interior. It is running a 440 coupled to a 727TF transmission with some nice period bits fitted like Hooker headers, Weind inlet manifold, MSD electronic ignition, Hurst ratchet shifter etc. All the glass is good with the exception of the wind screen as this is also not there. There are some parts with the car like dash board etc please check in the photos to see what comes with the car as I don’t have anything else.
The car was bought in to the Uk off Kruse International for exotics unlimited of Hollywood who claimed it was a still car in the Dukes of Hazard, besides a letter I have no proof of this. I do have the original build sheet to show the car started out life as a 318
To re cap this is a very solid dodge charger restoration project that is over here in the UK and can be viewed ( these don’t come up for sale very often )”
