1959 Pontiac Laurentian

From the seller: “This 1959 Pontiac Laurentian is the Canadian version of the Pontiac Catalina. The car has a 4.2 litre flat six cyclinder engine with 42,000 miles on the clock. It is the Vista Vision version which featured pillarless windows. It has been in my family since the early 1960s.

My brother -in-law emigrated to Canada in the 1950s and ended up buying and importing the car as a present for his brother in the early 1960s. The car remained in his possesion until his death a couple of years ago. The family are slowly settling his estate of which the car is part of. I have included in the photos a picture of the car from the 60s when on a family day trip. In the 1970s the car had a caravan hitched on the back and drove down to Nice in the South of France.

The car was garaged up about 40 to 45 years ago and has never left the garage or been started since. The car was running spot on when it was put into storage although obviously much of the perishable items such as tyres, brake lines, etc would need replacing after such a long lay up. Generally the car is in very good condition all things considered although as can be seen in the photos, there are a few areas of minor rust although no structural issues to the best of my knowledge.”
