1956 Hillman Minx Saloon – Barn Stored Since 1989

What an incredible find. It looks like it’s been hotel-stored!

From the seller: “1956 Hillman Minx Saloon

This car is a genuine barn find (stored in a Sussex Barn) since the late 80s. The difference with this one is that whilst most of our barn finds need restoration etc, this one has been carefully stored under blankets in the dry.

The bodywork and paint is excellent and needs nothing. The interior is pretty much immaculate, carpets, headlining, seats all lovely. One of the rear door cards has distorted slightly and started to pull away at top (would probably be rectified by removing and resting a weight on it for a few days)

The underside is in amazing condition. Not all shiny and new but absolutely sound and original (does not look like its been touched) No welding needed anywhere that we can see

We have turned the engine by hand but made no attempt to start it. The buyer will obviously need to drain all fluids and service it, brakes etc. It has original cross ply tyres which will need to be replaced for safety reasons”
