1953 Triumph Mayflower

From the seller: “This is for a 1953 Triumph Mayflower.  I bought this last year off a chap who had it in his garage and it was last on the road in 1999.  It was my intention to get it back on the road but due to work commitments I am unable to put the time into it.

I fitted a new battery, spark plugs, cleaned the points, changed the oil, repaired the exhaust, put petrol in the tank and it started and runs.  The clutch was free and the car drives forwards and backwards.  The brakes do not work and need a full overhaul, the workshop manuals are coming with the car so you can service the car and brakes yourself.  Also it will need general recommissioning and odd jobs doing to achieve your personal standard but this is a solid car and has the makings of a usable classic.  The Triumph Mayflower club have an extensive parts list available to assist in the recommissioning.”
