Fans of the MK1 Ford Escort will be salivating over this one, as the 1300 Sport is a very rare car indeed. This one could do with some TLC, but looks a lot better than the one we found recently!
From the seller: “Ford Escort Mk1 1300 Sport. 1974
Classic in need of come TLC, great winter project ready for the summer.
This is a UK car not imported. The car has had inner and outer sills, lower rear quarters, front panel, Mexico front wings, floor pans, brake master cylinder all replaced. The case runs and drives okay and it is used occasionally, but could benefit from new paintwork as it is not the best.
The interior is original to the car but has some damage on the back seat as shown.
This has the 6 clock dash as it is the original sport. The hazard light switch is missing.”

And they stopped before reaching the bottom of the guide. So […]
This Ford Escort 1600 Sport auction result gave us one of the most entertaining bidding battles we’ve filmed for a while. Before the 1979 Mk2 Escort went under the hammer at Anglia Car Auctions, we took a closer look at the car and asked UK Barn Finds followers to predict what it would sell for. […]
This Ford Capri auction result is an interesting indication of just how much enthusiasm remains for early Mk1 Capris. The 1970 Ford Capri 1600 GT XLR certainly wasn’t presented as a pristine example when it went under the hammer at Anglia Car Auctions. It was scruffy, needed restoration or recommissioning, came with no history and […]
