Broad Arrow Signs Three-Year Auction Deal With Wilton Legends

Classic cars displayed on the lawns of Wilton House during the inaugural 2026 motoring event

One of Britain’s newest prestige motoring events has secured a major international auction partner for the next three years.

Broad Arrow, the collector car auction house owned by Hagerty, has been appointed the official auction partner of Wilton Legends, beginning with the event at Wilton House in Wiltshire from 18–20 June 2027.

The agreement brings another major name in the international collector car market to one of Britain’s most spectacular historic motoring venues.

And although the cars going under the hammer have yet to be announced, the partnership promises to add another interesting dimension to the three-day celebration.

A New Chapter For Wilton Legends

Wilton Legends is a relatively new addition to the British motoring calendar.

The event made its debut at Wilton House in June 2026 under the name Concours des Légendes, bringing together exceptional historic cars, prominent motoring personalities, craftsmanship and stories from the automotive world.

The organisers subsequently announced that the event would return in 2027 under a simpler name: Wilton Legends.

The venue is Wilton House, near Salisbury, the historic home of the Earl of Pembroke.

It’s an extraordinary setting for an automotive gathering, with its sweeping lawns, historic architecture and extensive grounds providing a backdrop quite unlike a conventional motor show.

But the organisers are keen to distinguish Wilton Legends from an ordinary concours.

The emphasis isn’t simply on displaying valuable cars.

It’s also on the people who designed, built, raced, restored and collected them.

And the stories those vehicles carry.

Broad Arrow Arrives At Wilton House

The new auction partner is Broad Arrow, an international collector car business and part of the Hagerty group.

The company operates in the upper reaches of the collector car market, offering auctions alongside private sales and advisory services.

Its appointment at Wilton Legends represents a three-year commitment, starting with the 2027 event.

The announcement follows a successful inaugural event in June 2026, when Dore & Rees served as the official auction partner, conducting sales of collector cars, automobilia, jewellery, watches and other collectables.

For 2027, Broad Arrow will bring its international collector-car network and auction expertise to Wilton House.

Joe Twyman, Broad Arrow’s Vice President of Sales for the EMEA region, welcomed the announcement, pointing to the company’s recent success in Europe, including its record-breaking sale at Zoute in Belgium.

He said Broad Arrow was looking forward to presenting an exceptional selection of cars at Wilton House.

For collectors, the attraction is clear.

An established international auction house, significant cars and one of Britain’s most impressive country-house settings coming together for a dedicated motoring weekend.

An Event Built Around Cars And Their Stories

One aspect of Wilton Legends that particularly appeals to us is its emphasis on the history behind individual vehicles.

At the inaugural event, visitors could hear directly from owners, designers, racing drivers and other people with important connections to the cars on display.

The programme included talks and discussions, motoring art, displays of specialist craftsmanship and opportunities to explore aspects of automotive history that don’t always receive much attention at traditional shows.

More than 60 speakers took part in the first event, with names including Nick Mason, Brian Johnson, Richard Attwood, Valentino Balboni and Ian Callum.

It’s an impressive gathering of people who have made their mark on the motoring world.

And perhaps just as importantly, people with fascinating stories to tell.

The 2027 event is expected to build on that approach.

Organisers are planning curated concours classes, special anniversary celebrations, further displays and conversations with notable personalities from the motoring world.

Supercar Sunday will once again provide a spectacular conclusion to the three-day gathering.

The Earl of Pembroke, himself a passionate car collector and motoring enthusiast, co-founded the event, which is organised by Hothouse Media, publisher of Octane and Magneto magazines.

It’s an interesting combination of traditional motoring history, modern collector-car culture and the people who have helped shape both.

What Cars Will Broad Arrow Offer?

That’s the question many enthusiasts will naturally be asking.

For now, the answer is that the auction catalogue has yet to be announced.

The organisers have confirmed the three-year agreement, but details of individual consignments, estimates and the precise auction programme will follow.

Given Broad Arrow’s international collector-car connections, it will be interesting to see what machinery eventually makes its way to Wilton House.

The auction could become an important attraction in its own right, particularly for visitors interested in significant historic vehicles and the changing collector car market.

But we’ll reserve judgement until the cars themselves are revealed.

After all, it’s the vehicles and their individual histories that ultimately make an auction interesting.

And even the most valuable collector’s car is more appealing when there’s a fascinating story behind it.

A Growing Event In The British Motoring Calendar

The inaugural event in June 2026 brought together an impressive collection of machinery and personalities at Wilton House.

For 2027, the organisers are planning a larger gathering, with an expanded concours, additional displays and more opportunities for visitors to explore the stories behind the vehicles.

Geoff Love, Managing Director of Hothouse Media, said the appointment of Broad Arrow was an endorsement of the organisers’ ambition to establish Wilton Legends as a significant international motoring event.

Securing an auction partner for three consecutive years also gives the event an opportunity to establish a regular, recognisable sale within the collector-car calendar.

For enthusiasts, it adds another attraction to an already busy British summer motoring season.

There’s certainly no shortage of major events during June and July.

But the combination of Wilton House, carefully selected vehicles and an emphasis on the stories behind them gives Wilton Legends a character of its own.

When Is Wilton Legends 2027?

Wilton Legends takes place at Wilton House, near Salisbury in Wiltshire, from Friday 18 to Sunday 20 June 2027.

The event will feature concours displays, talks, special exhibitions, automotive craftsmanship and Supercar Sunday, with Broad Arrow joining as official auction partner.

The auction lots and further programme details will be announced nearer the event.

Visitor information and tickets are available through the official Wilton Legends website.

For anyone interested in important historic cars, the people associated with them and the stories that make individual vehicles special, it should be an intriguing weekend.

And we’ll be particularly interested to see what Broad Arrow brings to the auction.

Sometimes the most fascinating part of a collector-car sale isn’t simply the machinery or the estimate.

It’s discovering where a car has been, who owned it and what happened to it along the way.

That’s something we can certainly appreciate at UK Barn Finds.
