There are a lot of car shows on the calendar these days, but Wheeler Dealer Live has quietly become one of the more interesting modern events for genuine enthusiasts.
Hosted by Mike Brewer and presented by Petrolheadonism, the 2026 event takes place at Bicester Motion on Sunday 31st May — and Hagerty Drivers Club is returning as headline sponsor for the second year running.
If you grew up watching Wheeler Dealers, Mike Brewer probably feels like part of the furniture at this point. He’s been buying, selling and talking about cars on television since the late 1990s, but it was Wheeler Dealers that turned him into one of the best-known faces in the motoring world.
This event leans heavily into that side of car culture. It’s not just rows of parked cars in a field. The organisers are aiming for something more interactive and broad-ranging, with everything from modified cars and club displays to stunt arenas, live builds and family attractions.
And honestly, that wider mix probably reflects modern enthusiast culture better than some of the more traditional shows now do.
The headline attraction is obviously Mike Brewer himself, along with appearances from some familiar faces from his television career, but there’s quite a lot happening beyond that.

Bicester Motion has quickly become one of the UK’s best locations for automotive events. There’s a proper atmosphere there now — part historic airfield, part modern enthusiast hub — and it suits this sort of event perfectly.
One thing that caught our attention in the press release was the effort Hagerty is putting into making the event more accessible.
Subscribers to Hagerty’s newsletter — or even followers of Hagerty UK social channels — can claim 50% off ticket prices, which is actually a decent saving in 2026.

That hospitality section sounds like it could be one of the better parts of the event if previous Hagerty displays are anything to go by. They’ve become very good at creating relaxed spaces for enthusiasts rather than overly corporate stands.
It’s easy to dismiss modern car events as social media content farms, but the reality is that gatherings like this are increasingly important for keeping enthusiast culture alive.
The car world has fragmented massively over the last decade.
Classic owners, modified scenes, younger enthusiasts, supercar crowds, retro hot hatch fans and social-media-led communities don’t always overlap naturally anymore.
Events like Wheeler Dealer Live seem to understand that and bring those groups together instead of trying to separate them.
And in fairness, Mike Brewer has always been good at bridging that gap. Whether you’re into a concours Jaguar, an old Escort project or a modified Japanese car, most enthusiasts have probably watched Wheeler Dealers at some point.
