Barn Find Of The Day – 1968 Ford Escort MK1 2-Door

This poor old girl was found languishing in a barn in Portugal a couple of years ago and, having then been shipped to the UK, probably expected to be burning rubber by now. But no, she’s now sitting motionless still, albeit it in a colder country!

This is one of those projects that definitely isn’t for the feint-hearted. Just take a look at the photos and you’ll see what we mean!

That said, if you’re brave, keen, skilled and have some cash and free time to throw at it, a MK1 Ford Escort is always going to be a cool car!

It’ll be interesting to see what the bidding goes like on this one. It’s a low mileage car, but “it’s seen better days” would be an understatement.

We absolutely loved this tiny Japanese 4×4 when we spotted it at Anglia Car Auctions. But with a £9,000 to £11,000 estimate, we wondered whether its sheer quirkiness might make it a difficult thing to value. We were […]

Today’s purchase is probably one of the more unusual motoring-related objects we’ve brought home: an enormous reproduction of the Rolls-Royce Spirit of Ecstasy. It stands around 77cm tall, sits on a marble plinth and weighs an absolute ton. Well, perhaps ...
