Hidden away since 1982, this 1964 Mercedes 220 SEC Coupe is already attracting a huge amount of attention online.
From the seller: “1964 Mercedes 220 SEC Coupe, recent barn discovery after laying undiscovered for the past 41 years .
These iconic cars are from an era when a Mercedes Benz was one of the very best cars in the world .
A very expensive car when new and today one of the finest classic cars available .
This particular car is in need of some restoration in good solid condition, luckily it was stored in a nice dry barn for all these years ,it does need some work (welding) in the sill areas on both sides but all panels should save without replacement easily.
The Mercedes was driven into the barn and left due to a suspected cracked cylinder head,a repair was intended but never happened,as a precaution another engine was sourced and is included in the sale in case the original cannot be repaired.
The car is totally complete and ready for a relatively easy straightforward restoration, these cars are worth around £50K once restored and are increasing in price year on year, a very rare find and this will make a fantastic classic when finished and back on the road.”
